Pinterest; The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

Yep, Pinterest.  That little image storing place where you can collect and organise images of all the things that inspire you and you fall in love with.

The good place where you can get inspiration, make mood boards of things that interest you, plan events, home decor or get motivated to make those projects you only dream of.

The bad place that draws you in and lets you pin item after item.  If you are a crafter you see so many wonderful and inspiring projects but then you get upset as you will never have the time to make them all but you still continue to look and return again and again.

And the ugly place.  The place that zaps your time, time after time after time.  You spend hours looking at projects, some looking so similar, in fact at times you even pin the same one as you just can't remember what you have already pinned.  The place where you spend too much time looking, time that could be spent doing.

What do you think of Pinterest?

Time zapper or endless inspiration?

Great fun or crafty overload?

Is it the good, the bad or the ugly for you?

Funny Lunch/Dinner Ecard: Mummy said we're having takeaway for dinner. I guess she lost track of time on Pinterest again...

Now if you can tell me in idiot form how to add a pin it button to my posts I would be very happy and I may just be back next week also to show what is inspiring me right now.

Great post and I chuckled at your little drawing and caption at the end. I don't look at Pinterest very much, I have to say, for the reasons I've heard others and now you give - I barely have enough time for doing, as it is!

I totally agree with you at Pinterest, absolutely fab for inspiration but oh my the time I can waste on there! Thank you for your comment on my crochet -a-long post! You are very welcome to join in! We usually post on a Thursday with our crochet projects, anything goes it doesn't have to be a floral crochet project. You can post on your blog and let me know and I will add a little link to my blog post too. It's inspiring to see what everyone is working on!
