Life has been a bit hectic with work and health issues the past few weeks and I have just not had the time or energy to do any blogging or ccrating at all.
This week I have managed to start work on some project life filler cards for a swap group I have joined. The theme is all the fun of the fair and there are 13 Ladies in n the group.
This is the finished card.
Between customers, deliveries and the phone ringing I have managed to complete 4 of them yesterday. How I quite managed it I'm not sure. We have been inundated with phone calls over the past week since a couple of days after the phone line was fitted. It appears a company (we know who it is) has sold our new phone number on to a 'electricity brokers database' saying we are a new business. It's only commercial properties were this happens. The company concerned never gave us the opportunity to opt out of this which is what is so annoying. This has resulted in hundreds, I really am not exaggerating, of phone calls from brokers trying to sign us up to electric companies.
Even though we had already changed electric companies before the phone line was fitted. Because the paperwork and changing over process takes 21 days, apparently on this database it shows we don't have an electricity supplier so the calls keep coming. I am at the stage when I am told that they are from a 'utility brokers' I just say Thank you we have already sorted out our electricity Goodbye. Some of them are not accepting this and phone me back to tell me there computer database says I'm not with an electricity company. If i was at home I would just not answer the phone but at work I can't do that as the phone call could be work related.
Yesterday one of these brokers phoned me back 8 times after I told him we had a new supplier. I told him when he phoned back the fourth time that this was harassment and I was not interested and still he called me back again. The last time he called I threatened the Police and this stopped his calls. Totally unbelievable I really am trying not to be rude to these people but after a week it is really getting hard not to. This is all perfectly legal as I did not tell the company who sold me details on that I did not want it happening. A letter of complaint has gone in to them and after the first day I registered with the phone preference service but this takes a few weeks to impliment/
As well as this madness at work I am just not getting any time at home so the crafting has taken place on the cash desk at work. This is my new view:
A little bit of happiness!
Don't forget to visit Julia to take part or just admire some other crafty spaces around the world.
