When Life Sucks

At times life sucks.

Really sucks.

There have been some positive changes in my life this year after a couple of life sucking years.

2013 was going to be the year of change.

The year life didn't suck.

But along with those positives have been some life sucking moments.

They are life sucking things that are draining energy from me.

Things that I don't want to have to face because they suck.

But I have to.

I am struggling these past few weeks to celebrate the good as I am so drained from the life sucking things.

All these life sucking things coming at me all at the same time.

Draining energy so I struggle to deal with them.

A vicious, vicious circle.

A never ending roundabout ride where I go round and round and round.  Never having the energy to jump off and enjoy the good.

Disabilities making it hard to walk.

Hard to move.

Health treatments that are supposed to make me feel better but have dreadful side effects.

Pain medication that is supposed to help but makes me high as a kite or knock me out.  Not a good knocking out.  Although I have slept it feel as if I haven't.  It wasn't sleep it was a drug induced unconsciousness.

Children who need extra help; a Son with Asperger's who is so darn challenging in his behaviour at times.  Even worse with this heat.  A Daughter with Juvenile Idiopathic arthritis (Rheumatoid Arthritis) resulting in pain, swelling, fevers and her being so irritable when it flares.

Their constant niggling.

Turning in to arguments.

Resulting in physical fights

Then the tears.

Setting up a business from scratch.  So much work, so much worry, so much stress.  Obstructions and complications from everyone you need to get this business launched.

Delay after delay after delay.

More money than you budgeted for or ever imagined.

Doing all this all on your own...

But that is the best part of all.

Nobody to share the smiles with.

Nobody to share the hugs with.

Nobody to share all the love with.

I get it all.

What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday?

Life has been a bit hectic with work and health issues the past few weeks and I have just not had the time or energy to do any blogging or ccrating at all.

This week I have managed to start work on some project life filler cards for a swap group I have joined.  The theme is all the fun of the fair and there are 13 Ladies in n the group.

This is the finished card.

Between customers, deliveries and the phone ringing I have managed to complete 4 of them yesterday.  How I quite managed it I'm not sure.  We have been inundated with phone calls over the past week since a couple of days after the phone line was fitted.  It appears a company (we know who it is) has sold our new phone number on to a 'electricity brokers database' saying we are a new business.  It's only commercial properties were this happens.  The company concerned never gave us the opportunity to opt out of this which is what is so annoying.  This has resulted in hundreds, I really am not exaggerating, of phone calls from brokers trying to sign us up to electric companies.

Even though we had already changed electric companies before the phone line was fitted.  Because the paperwork and changing over process takes 21 days, apparently on this database it shows we don't have an electricity supplier so the calls keep coming.  I am at the stage when I am told that they are from a 'utility brokers' I just say Thank you we have already sorted out our electricity Goodbye.  Some of them are not accepting this and phone me back to tell me there computer database says I'm not with an electricity company.  If i was at home I would just not answer the phone but at work I can't do that as the phone call could be work related.

Yesterday one of these brokers phoned me back 8 times after I told him we had a new supplier.  I told him when he phoned back the fourth time that this was harassment and I was not interested and still he called me back again.  The last time he called I threatened the Police and this stopped his calls.  Totally unbelievable   I really am trying not to be rude to these people but after a week it is really getting hard not to.  This is all perfectly legal as I did not tell the company who sold me details on that I did not want it happening.  A letter of complaint has gone in to them and after the first day I registered with the phone preference service but this takes a few weeks to impliment/

As well as this madness at work I am just not getting any time at home so the crafting has taken place on the cash desk at work.  This is my new view:

A little bit of happiness!

Don't forget to visit Julia to take part or just admire some other crafty spaces around the world.

Pasta Bake

A few weeks ago we were sent a packet of Schwartz Mediterranean Chicken Pasta & Cheesy Crumb topping.

This was really easy to make.  Cooked pasta was mixed with the sauce and then the crumb topping was sprinkled over the top along with some cheese.

Next, under the grill.

Super quick, super easy.  Meal was loved by all especially me as it was so quick and easy to make.

This post is an entry for BritMums ‘What’s for Dinner Tonight?’ sponsored by Schwartz.  Find out more about the new 2in1 mixes here

As part of this review we received the Schwartz mix.
All views are mine and all other ingredients were purchased by myself.
